Firebug Caching | August 28th, 2007

First of all I, like everyone else, love Firebug!

However, I noticed yesterday that Firebug seems to have a problem reporting the true status of cached pages in the Net tab. With a simple page that has one JavaScript file included the Firebug report looks like this:

While if you look at Fiddler it says this:

Firebug will occasionally report that the resources have been cached but Fiddler consistently reports the 304 “Not Modified” HTTP header.

Am I doing something wrong here? Is there a great Firebug feature that I am missing?

If not then Joe can you pls fx it :)

AjaxWorld Testing and Debugging Slides | October 7th, 2006

Here are the slides from my testing and debugging talk at AjaxWorld.

I had a great time down in Santa Clara despite the high number of marketing presentations compared to good Ajax technical talk. Still, I got to meet a lot of new people. w00t.

Anyhow, hopefully doing a podcast this afternoon so we will discuss all the happenings there!
