Ignites Slides for RobotReplay — Remote Usability for the Rest of Us | April 17th, 2007

Here are my slides from the Ignite event at the Web2.0Expo where I launched RobotReplay.
We’re getting slammed with traffic and sign ups and are tuning the servers around the clock to get the server back up and running 100%.

    Hey Andre,

Congrats on launching this cool tool. I am sure this will become useful to a lot of people. I think it would be interesting to also incorporate some sort of analytics/statistics features on top of session replays so that people can get an aggregate graphical representation of their user usage patterns.

Thanks Dima! Any key stats about sessions you’d like to see?

I guess the duration of visits per page (or some other resource) is the obvious one, so that you can tell which particular resources are more popular/useful. The sequence of clicks users take through the site or forms – which can be represented as a graph with weighted edges for example – again to determine what content is more useful and hopefully bring it closer to the user.

“Looking over your user’s shoulder” so to say is cool but how many users sessions would you actually be able to replay? Let’s say 10000 user sessions recorded over a period of time, maybe you’ll play back 10-20 to get an idea but no more. I think it’s also necessary to provide a graphical representation of the overall patterns.
