Question.. Why is my IIS-hosted web application running so slowly with such little traffic? Why am I only able to service 1 or 2 requests per second?.. could it be that query I added late last week is crippling my entire server?
YES! After a day of pulling my hair I was able to determine all I needed was 1 additional lousy index added to one of my tables. The power of the index on server performance is nothing short of miraculous!

you should also setup the slow query log so that you can find any queries that are taking too long and need to be indexed.
