Internationalized AJAX – i18n – Combo Box | November 26th, 2005

We launched the EBA Web Combo V3.2 this week, which has a bunch of usability enhancements but the most exciting for us the AJAX internalization and support for foreign character sets such Chinese, Japanese and all European languages.  It was a much larger job than we expected to support foreign character sets, but our international customers are happy we did;)

“ i18n & Unicode Compliant – Works against Unicode data, including double byte Kanji (Japanese) and latin languages. Language packs make localization of application messages simple.”

PS.  If you’re wondering where the acronym i18n comes from the 18 letters in the word internationalization between the “i” and the “n”.  More on the origins of il8n here.
