Cycle for Spirit launched! | April 21st, 2006

EBA, thanks to Pam and Wendy, has just launched CycleForSpirit.com! We’re proud to support this great cause!

On April 24th, 2006, we are starting off on the biggest adventure of our lives. We will be crossing Canada on bikes, starting in Victoria, BC and ending up in St. John’s, NL in early August.

Who are we? Three staff members from The Keg Steakhouse & Bar who want to make a difference. The idea for the Cycle for Spirit, which was hatched one night after work in October, 2005, is all about kids. Our goal is to raise a lot of money for great charities through The Keg Spirit Foundation. And with lots of “Keggers” behind us, we know that we will do just that!

“Get involved…it’s just that simple!”

The guys also have a blog they’ll be updating along the way.

Greetings to ‘The Boys’ from Thunder Bay!

It was great to see you break the $100,000 mark this afternoon at the BBQ hosted by the Thunder Bay Keg. What a huge accomplishment. You must be thrilled. Push on and incase no one has told you today- I’m proud of all you have achieved!

    Safe Journey,

Hey guys, keep your heads up and the flies off. I’m from Barrie and we’re hosting a silent auction fundraising event on the Sarindipity princess (boat) this weekend. I’ll be MC for the event. Starting to get really excited that you guys are coming into town – hope to see you then.
PS: Not a kegger (just married to one) but trying to help out.

    Hey Gents:

I was at a Big Brothers of Toronto picnic yesterday at Bloor Collegiate and was able to get a chance to sign the t-shirts in support of your effort. I think what you guys are doing is amazing. Keep up the great work and I hope you reach your goal. I hear you’re in T.O. pretty soon so I hope you get quite a bit of support from here. I bought a couple of the “Cycle for Spirit wristbands” for $5 each and hope others do the same to support you.

    Cheers and Best of Luck!!!

    Hi Guys:
It was really cool meeting up with you on the Marine Atlantic ferry Saturday evening, Still hope to see you at the Keg in St john’s on the 8th.
It really was something, the fact that we met like that and really neither of us were supposed to be on that particular ferry that evening.
Meant to give you a little donation there but walked away from your Motorhome and forgot it.
See you in St John’s hopefully.
    Willard
