JSF component framework manages integration risks in the following ways:

1. Craftwork + structure -> Engineering + reuse -> architecture
2. The JSF framework creates structure for collaboration.
3. The JSF component within the structure are reusable.
4. Avoiding the big bang
5. The collaboration structure of JSF is fine grained allowing integration to take place continuously
6. The JSF framework encourages the inversion of control thus leading to loose coupling and interfaced-based development
7. Test driven development; well almost
8. JSF works within the larger J2EE architecture.
9. TDD is achieved by the effective use of Hibernate and other mock object tools within the JSF backing beans
