Hugh – 3X is good. period.

February 6th, 2006

Hey Hugh, if you’re selling anything for any amount of money and your business triples that’s a good thing and you pay attention whether it sells for $4000, $4 or $4 Million.  Well I would anyway:)  Hugh of Gaping Void gave a good presentation at LIFT about blogging, marketing and businesses should be at engaging with their customers.  I just couldn’t figure why it was so important that the suits he was blogging about were worth $4000…

Because $4000 suits are unlikely candidates for your typical blog product.

In the early days, I got a lot of “This will never work because blog readers don’t generally wear expensive suits” from people leaving comments.

    Thanks for asking 🙂

Well that makes more sense then. “blog readers” eh. Well they’re an interesting bread, much like the rest of us humans.

BTW. Love the cartoons keep up the good work!

Well, 3x sucks if your risk is really high. In a ‘repeated game’ you will lose money. Something about IRR and cost of capital [zzzzzzzzzzzz…..] . ok just go read Paul Kedrosky http://paul.kedrosky.com/

Increasing your revenue by a factor of 3 through blogging sucks? I’m a bit confused…and was there a specific article of Paul’s that talked to this? I do read his blog:) Let me know.

uh oh.. I didn’t expect to be questioned. umm… bail!
