What I am thinking is Either:

Initial XML tag
OR
Two different strings tags indicating the data for the row and the fieldnames for the xml.

to be passed to the tag when the combobox is initially loaded. This information is used ONLY ONCE. For the purpose of setting up the XMLDatasource field information and for setting up the values for the initial row.

Then when a person clicks the down arrow or starts typing or pages down it will then go out and get the list when it is needed.

This way it will cut down the load time and not do so many gets when retrieving Records or setting up a page for new record entry.

As far as I know when we were in beta testing and I brought this up you guys had said you were looking into a way to not load the combobox data first and only when needed.

Have a good one,

Angela

This is probably the most important feature that would make the control a viable alternative to a standard combo box.
