[Nitobi] quietly open sourced Nitobi FTP Sync, a COM based file synchronization tool that more than a few people are using to perform tasks like automated backups. The neat thing about FTP Sync was always that we packaged it as a web tool� perform FTP synchronization from a web app.. neat idea….

The tool is now under Lesser GPL,
and we will be accepting contributions back into the code if someone is
so-inclined. Otherwise, just download the package and go nuts.

I’m still not sure how this is working out for us.  I’ve been studying other software companies like eZ Systems and MySQL to try and get a better handle on how we may be able to open source our AJAX and maintain profitability and growth.  Mostly I just want Boris to buy more beer.
