Encrypting Data in Adobe AIR | November 27th, 2008

Adobe AIR 1.1 introduces built-in encryption for locally stored data.

This is particularly useful if you need to store sensitive data like passwords or even settings for your AIR application.

The encrypted local store can be found on the user’s computer at these location:

Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\AIR\ELS\

Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/

More information can be found on Adobe’s site.
