Professional Services Manager

Nitobi is a growing software development company that is searching for a software services pro to manage and grow our professional services business. We have a great reputation in the exploding mobile apps space and were the inventors of the popular PhoneGap mobile development framework. We work with a number of Fortune 500 customers on some of their most cutting edge projects and that’s what we want to continue doing!

You’ll be working with the team of developers and designers to coordinate and facilitate everything from initial client engagement to delivery and maintenance. You’ll be reporting directly to the CEO and will be responsible for all aspects of the professional services at Nitobi. This is not a project manager position but experience in that field is an asset. We use lightweight web tools and an agile methodology to keep our projects running fast and efficient. You’ll also help define and build our support and training business. Experience dealing with large corporate clients on different levels including business executives, project managers and developers is a must.

Must have experience and skills:

  • Managing the business aspects of client software projects
  • Experience managing teams of 20+ individuals
  • Sales and Business Development
  • Web software development or mobile development experience
  • Negotiating engagements and contracts
  • Technical background a must

Nice to have experience and skills:

  • Writing detailed proposals and SOWs
  • Estimating software development projects
  • Budget management
  • Project management in software (Basecamp, Lighthouse, Github…)
  • Social nonsense: twitter, blog, stackoverflow, etc..
  • Thick skin for wrangling developers and clients
  • HR and hiring experience
